The new Nissan Versa 2011 is versatile and extremely comfortable. It has a lot of space, a large cargo area, and great gas mileage, 34 miles per gallon on the highway. With its sleek design there is a choice to opt for the sedan or the hatchback.
The base sedan, 1.6 model, price starts as low as $9,990. It is a 4-door, 5-speed manual transmission, with a four cylinder engine. The difference between this car and most base model vehicles is that it has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, or TPMS, and it is an Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle, or ULEV. Which means that when the car’s tire pressure is low, a warning light will let you know to check and put air in the tires. The ULEV means that the car releases less chemicals in the atmosphere. What makes this special is that the base models is made with six standard air bags for supreme safety.
The 5-door hatchback’s basic model is the 1.8S. The price begins at $13,520. It comes with everything the base sedan has to offer except you have a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. It also comes, standard, with AM/FM/CD audio and an auxiliary jack for iPod connection. The hatchback also has 15″ wheel covers unlike the base sedan’s 14″ covers. It has a rear windshield wiper for those especially rainy days.
The more sophisticated model, the 1.8SL has a lot of great standard equipment, like the 15″ aluminum alloy wheels, power locks and windows, remote control key-less entry and security systems, and cruise control for long trips on the wide open road.
Of course, with any of the Nissan Versa model’s you can add whatever option you wish. Anything from the 1.8SL or other even more sophisticated options, like the MP3/WMA playback audio or integrated GPS system.
