As fuel prices increase so does everything else. This increase affects food prices, clothing prices, entertainment prices – everything that would require fuel that includes transportation to get the products from one location to another. Changes in transportation are even being made for everyday travel for families, workers and basic travellers.
The high cost of fuel makes it difficult to afford travelling. This includes necessary travel as well as leisure travel. It is necessary to travel to work and to the grocery store, for example. There would be no money for gas if an individual was not able to go to work. Then travelling to such locations as the grocery store is important to help the family stay strong by being fed and have cleaning
supplies. This is true, of course, unless a family makes natural cleaning supplies and grow or raise all the food they would need. Then they wouldn’t have to go to the store. It is another way to save money. Nevertheless, these necessary travel instances might also be reduced. That means fewer trips to the grocery store, for instance. They are only travelling when necessary and are cancelling leisure travel as well.
There are different changes in transportation that are underway because of high fuel prices. Just a
few changes include:
- Car pooling
- Taking public transportation
- Using more fuel efficient vehicles
- Walking and riding bikes
Friends, family and colleagues are travelling together when possible, such as to work and the store. More and more people are taking public transportation too such as the bus. People are that are selling their vehicles and purchasing vehicles that are more fuel efficient, including hybrids and even considering electric vehicles. Some individuals have decided walk to locations or ride their bikes when possible to change their transportation routine.
